"Christmas tree pyramid workout"

This is a great workout to do in the holidays during and after celebrating the Christmas/new year cheer! If you feel like a punchy cardio hit, smash this one out wherever, whenever!

Start with a 400m run or 200 skips with a rope. Once warmed up you start on the bottom left side of the tree completing-

50 x mountain climbers (or standing high knee pulls or runs)

40 x lunges (20 static each leg or 40 walking)

30 x crunches or reverse crunches

20 x squat jumps (or low impact squats)

10 x burpees (incline if needed or add push up to intensify)

1 min of star jumps at the top of the tree

Then you will work your way back down the right side of the tree 10 burpees, 20 squat jumps, 30 crunches, 40 lunges , 50 mountain climbers!

Repeat the sequence (including the warm up run or skips) 3 times through starting at the bottom of the left hand side, working up to the star and back down the right hand side of the tree.

Be sure to stretch all major muscle groups such as shoulders, chest, quads, hamstrings, glutes and  back.
