"NUTRITION TIPS FOR EASTER"

Check out our top tips for approaching your Easter Long Weekend!

🐣 If you have a soft spot for Easter Eggs opt for some small quality dark chocolate ones! They are 👆🏼 in antioxidants and 👇🏼 in sugar than your milk choc ones #sorrycaburybunny
🐣 Eat the delicious and nutritious whole foods that you would normally and know that you can ALSO still enjoy a few easter eggs or a desert at the family BBQ. If you have an all or nothing approach it can feel like you are depriving yourself and as a result when you have things that are on a “no go” list it it can turn into "Screw it, Ive eaten crap so I may as well just write off and start fresh next week" mentality. Like I always say when you get a flat tyre you don't say "ah stuff it" and slash the other three tyres do you.
🐣 I sometimes think I feel like a desert or chocolate but if I stop and ask myself "I can have it if I want it, but do I really actually feel like it?" the answer is more often than not no and I was actually just looking for a distraction or reaching for it because it was there in front of me. If I do really feel like it however, Ill recognise this and enjoy with zero guilt.
🐣 Stay active! When I'm active I feel energised and grateful for my body which means I'm more likely to treat it kindly and fuel it with scrummy nutrient dense foods!
🐣 If you choose to enjoy a drink or two, be mindful about how much and the food that can go hand in hand with a few bevies. Take a platter of veggie sticks and roasted chickpeas to the BBQ and sit next to that rather than the chips 😉

Most importantly though beauties, enjoy the Easter Long Weekend with your loved ones!
