“Do you get enough Vitamin B12?”

Vitamin B12 is a powerful energy and mood booster – just look at the label of any energy supplement and you’ll be amazed at how many B vitamins they contain! It also helps keep our brains and hearts healthy, aids in digestion, and plays a role in red blood cell development and curbing anemia 🙌🏼

The daily recommended amount for adults is 2.4 micrograms (mcg) a day – although pregnant women need more.

Top sources include Organ meats, Wild-caught salmon, Grass-fed beef, Eggs.

If these aren't foods that you regularly have in your diet nutritional yeast can be a good plant-based source – ¼ cup contains 290 percent of the RDI.

🤷🏻‍♀️ What is Nutritional Yeast?

Nutritional yeast is a food additive made from a single- celled organism, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, which is grown on molasses and then harvested, washed, and dried with heat to kill or “deactivate” it. It is Gluten free, sugar free and kosher.

There are a number of ways to incorporate it into your meals but my favourites are sprinkled over my veggies, added to my salad/bowl dressing or mixed in with some homemade popcorn 🍿😉🙌🏼 Delicious!!!!

Jess ✌🏼
