“Why you should get your hands on MCT oil!”

MCTs (Medium chain triglycerides or Medium chain fatty acids) are a great source of healthy fats that deliver energy, improve gut health, assist with weight management, help increase lean muscle mass and improve athletic performance. Think of them as a natural fuel for your body and your brain 🧠

💭 How are they different to other fats?

Unlike other fats, MCTs go straight from the gut to the liver. From here, they are used as a source of energy or they are turned into Ketones. Ketones are substances produced when the liver breaks down a lot of fat, and they can be used by the brain for energy instead of glucose or sugar. Because the calories in MCTs are used straightaway, they are less likely to be stored as fat. Winning 🙌🏼

💭 How do I incorporate it into my diet?

Start by adding a tablespoon a day then you could increase to 2 tablespoons.

I add it to my smoothie or just gulp it down by itself (it doesn’t have a taste so no holding nose techniques required 😝). You might also like to use it in your salad dressings. It’s just not suitable to heat and use in your cooking.

Go with your local healthfood or naturopaths recommendation but I personally think you cant go wrong with the BioCeuticals MCT Oil.
